About the Museum San Rocco:
The San Rocco Museum was established in 2012 and is located in the premises of the former Church of the Discalced Franciscan Fathers in Trapani originally built in the 16th century.

Since then the building has lived many lives following historical events, till today.

Inside, it houses a part of the conspicuous DiART collection (Diocesan Religious Art Trapani – which since 2004 is located at the Palazzo del Seminario Vescovile of the Diocese of Trapani), a collection of works begun in the nineties by the priest and director of the Museum Liborio Palmeri who is still responsible for both exhibition poles. The selection of works of Contemporary Art that the San Rocco Museum exhibits aims to enhance new artistic expressions (both by well-known, established artists and emerging artists) and investigate the relationship with traditional sacred iconography.

The permanent collection includes works by: Carla Accardi, Turi Simeti, Claudio Oliveri, Rita Siragusa, Adrian Paci, Minjung Kim, and Jung Uei – Jung.

The exhibition The Body and The World is Powered by:
